At Your Word - Pastor Jake Dyck
In this Palm Sunday message, Pastor Jake Dyck reflects on both the humility of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and the powerful moment when Peter chooses to obey Jesus’ command: “At your word, I will let down the nets.” (Luke 5:5)
Through these passages, we are reminded that following Jesus often requires faith-filled obedience—even when it doesn’t make sense. Peter, an experienced fisherman, trusted Jesus despite his own understanding, and through that obedience witnessed a miracle that changed his life.
This message challenges us to consider:
Who is Jesus to us?
Are we willing to obey His voice, even when it goes against our logic?
What fears or doubts might be holding us back from fully trusting Him?
As we reflect on Holy Week, we are encouraged to draw closer to God, recognize our need for Him, and respond with humility and faith. True discipleship means surrendering not only what we understand, but also what we don’t—trusting that God is at work in every step.
May we learn, like Peter, to say: “At Your word… I will.”
